While every day should be a reason to spend quality time with yourself or your significant other, there’s something special about romantic getaways. And, Valentine’s Day adds an extra layer to the mix as many resorts and hotels offer special packages and goodies that can take your escape to new levels.

If you’ve been meaning to book a baecation or simply disconnect for your own mental health, we’ve curated this list of some of our favorite— and the internet’s favorite— romantic getaways. From a secluded cabin and an adult only cruise to something for those who like their vacays a little spicy— check out these ideas for your next solo or couple’s rendezvous.

Getaway House

Some of our favorite Black content creators have sold this one as the place to book when you’re in need of some alone time. With more than 25 locations across the United States, you’re sure to find at least one Getaway House within driving distance from your home base.

The quaint tiny cabins have everything you need, including a full bathroom and kitchenette. To make the spot even more cozy, buy a few decorations to set the vibe you’re looking for. If you’re solo, spend your time journaling by the fire or while laying in bed looking out your massive window. For couples, well, we’ll leave the activities to your discretion.

Virgin Voyages Cruise

Ok, you’re probably thinking, ‘what’s romantic about a cruise?!’ There’s usually kids running around, people hovering over the buffet, and let’s not forget the sometimes cheesy entertainment. But, Virgin Voyages heard our cry and for that, we say thank you.

An adult’s only cruise, it’s a great option for couples or solo travelers. Our favorite parts of the cruises: actual sit down restaurants included, plenty of champagne, a fly private beach club in the Bahamas, as well as entertainment that may make you clutch your pearls.

Temptation Cancun

If you know, you know. But, if you don’t, that’s okay too. Temptation Cancun isn’t your average Mexican vacation resort. It’s more for those who are into a certain lifestyle, or who are looking to dip their toes in the water. While this is in no way an official hedonism property (you can check out Hedonism II in Jamaica for that), there are opportunities to take a swim topless, among other things.

Grab your sexiest beachwear and leave your judgment at home. It’s an easy way to get things going for you and your significant other, or a great way to meet new friends.

Palm Heights Hotel, Grand Cayman Island

Tucked away behind lush greenery, you will feel secluded while being centrally located on Grand Cayman. The Palm Heights Hotel is one of the most aesthetically pleasing properties you will ever encounter. From its perfectly curated interior decor to the nostalgic yellow umbrellas that line its beachfront.

Take time to just unwind, without a care in the world. Spend hours in deep convo with bae as you listen to the waves in the background. Or, get dolled up to have dinner at the on-property restaurant, Tillies, which is just as picturesque as the hotel itself.

Sandals Royal Bahamian

Created with couples in mind, you can guarantee this property has raised the bar when it co3mes to romantic getaways. Another adult’s only option, Sandals Royal Bahamian is not only for romantic partners, but friends and even parents, too.

After undergoing a massive renovation recently, this resort has left no stone unturned when it comes to having “all the things.” From the private island across the bay to the upgraded butler service option that ensures you literally never lift a finger. This way, there are no excuses for you to get in the quality time you actually came for.

Mauna Lani Resort

For our West Coast readers, this is an easy flight in exchange for a piece of heaven. Situated on Hawaii’s Big Island, Mauna Lani Resort, Auberge Resorts Collection, is where you go when you truly want to treat yourself— or your partner.

You can lazy the days away as you marvel at the almost unreal sunsets, or you can get pampered in the on-site spa by some of the area’s best estheticians. Either way, you’ll come back rejuvenated. And, be sure to pop into the signature restaurant, Canoe House, for the garlic fried rice and lobster. Trust us on that one!

Nobu Hotel and Restaurant, Atlanta

Another ultra sexy property, the Nobu Hotel Atlanta is not only the staycation spot for some of the city’s stars, but it has everything needed for your romantic getaway dreams. From the rooftop pool and bar overlooking the high-end Phipps Plaza to the courtesy Porsche’s available to guests who want to be whisked around “the A” in style.

Like most Nobu Hotels around the world, you also have the option to dine at the iconic restaurant under the same name. Pro Tip: Start with the Lychee martini, then work your way to a shared sushi platter. Then, get dessert to go. You’re welcome.
